Our Top 10 Michelin Star restaurants in Mayfair 1

Posted in Bars & restaurants, Food & drink

With the 100th anniversary of Michelin this year, there’s no better time to try out some of the capital’s hottest restaurants. Here’s a run through of some of the top Mayfair establishments:

- Benares (1 Michelin Star)

After suffering a devastating fire in its Mayfair kitchens in 2009, Benares was extensively refurbished but that didn’t slow owner and chef Atul Kochar down and he has since have numerous TV appearances and started new ventures. Benares on Berkley Square, just behind The May Fair, is warm and inviting and serves Indian food to the highest quality.

Food at The May Fair hotel- Maze (1 Michelin Star)

One of Gordon Ramsay’s most successful restaurants, Maze is a cool and inviting restaurant and grill on Grosvenor Square. Enjoy impeccable service and outstanding food in a relaxed environment plus there is a special celebration menu served on Mondays.

- Greenhouse (1 Michelin Star)

Hues of green provide a calming backdrop for delicious French European food at The Greenhouse. Executive Head Chef Antonin Bonnet prides himself on his seasonal menus and you’ll find the best ingredients in his elegant dishes.

- Nobu London Old Park Lane (1 Michelin Star)

Nobu needs no introduction – “the world’s sexiest restaurant” (The Observer) and perfectly situated on Old Park Lane. In association with The May Fair, Nobu Private Dining can exclusively be served in your suite if you would like to host a dinner party ‘at home’.

Prawn dish at Quince restaurant at The May Fair- Sketch (1 Michelin Star)

Quirky interiors and a fun experience is guaranteed at Sketch. The ever-changing video exhibitions streamed onto the walls to the dining room, hand painted chairs and award winning food and wines all make Sketch one of a kind.

- Wild Honey (1 Michelin Star)

After the success of Arbutus in Soho, Executive Chef Anthony Demetre and the team opened Wild Honey on Maddox Street in Mayfair in 1997 to rave reviews. The emphasis is on the best and freshest seasonal ingredients and the set menu changes weekly.

- Le Gavroche (2 Michelin Stars)

Le Gavroche is an institution that has been in operation since 1967 when brothers Albert and Michel Roux opened one of the most influential and consistently brillant restaurants in the world. In 1991 Michel Roux Jr. took over and set about modernising the menu that still receives great acclaim. A must visit for foodies.

Nobu Private Dining at The May Fair hotel- The Square (2 Michelin Stars)

Discreet service and vibrant food, The Square is a favourite among Mayfair residents and has been for the past two decades. Chef Owner Philip Howard has held two Michelin stars for his impeccable food since 1998.

- Kai (1 Michelin Star)

Kai serves Michelin star Chinese food in the heart of Mayfair and the restaurant has countless accolades to its name including ‘Best Chinese Restaurant in London’ from Harden’s Restaurant Guide.

- Murano (1 Michelin Star)

After branching out on her own from Gordon Ramsay, Angela Hartnett has excelled with her first restaurant ‘Murano’. Expect delicious Italian food and impeccable service plus you can join Angela and the team in the kitchen for cookery classes throughout the year.

If you are a food lover, don’t miss Quince – our restaurant at The May Fair that opened its doors in June 2011.
