The BFI 54th London Film Festival
Showcasing established and emerging film industry talent from around the world
In October 2010 the BFI London Film Festival showcased an array of highly anticipated films by both established and emerging talent from around the world. The Festival screened no less than 196 features and 113 shorts, including 18 World, 23 International and 28 European premieres, many presented by cast members and directors, alongside a stellar line-up of special events. The Festival spread city-wide with cinemas from Finchley to Brixton, Mayfair to Dalston screening selected titles as well as those in Leicester Square.
We are proud to be celebrating the hottest up-and-coming filmmakers from around the world as well as the latest works of internationally-acclaimed directors such as Alejandro González Iñárritu, Darren Aronofsky, Danny Boyle, Mike Leigh and Julian Schnabel in London. Our selection of the latest gems from the international festival circuit include Cannes Palme D'Or winner, Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives, Locarno's Golden Leopard winner Winter Vacation and Sundance Opening Night Film Howl.
