Only a two minute walk from The May Fair hotel, this statue called 'Allies' was sculpted by Lawrence Holofcener and depicts Franklin D. Roosevelt sitting on a bench talking to Winston Churchill. It was unveiled in 1995 by the Bond Street Association to mark 50 years of peace. Roosevelt and Churchill helped found the United Nations after their stand against Nazism in World War II.
